Who runs this site

HYUKHO is a personal blog published at hyukho.smilehugo.com. One person writes and operates it.

What the site itself stores

Reading posts requires no account. Your theme choice (light or dark) is kept in your browser's local storage so the site does not flash the wrong theme on the next visit. It never leaves your device.

The site is served by Vercel, which processes request logs, including IP addresses, to deliver pages and defend against abuse.

Advertising

Google AdSense serves the ads on this site. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to select ads, cap how often you see them, and measure performance. Where you have consented, they may also personalise ads using data about your activity across sites.

You can review and change your Google ad settings at My Ad Center, and read how Google uses data from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Analytics

Google Analytics 4 counts page views so the topics people actually read can be told apart from the ones they skip. It records the pages requested, rough location derived from IP address, device type, and referring site. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4.

No analytics identifiers are stored on your device until you allow them. Measurement runs without cookies otherwise.

Your consent

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, advertising and analytics storage are denied before anything loads, and a consent message from a Google-certified consent platform asks you first. You can change or withdraw that choice at any time through the privacy settings link in the message.

Elsewhere, these services run under their own defaults, and the controls below are how you opt out.

Blocking cookies in your browser also works and does not break the site.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, your email address is used to send new posts and nothing else. It is not sold or shared for anyone else's marketing. Ask to be removed and the address is deleted.

Comments

Comments run on Giscus, which stores them as discussions in a GitHub repository. Posting one means signing in to GitHub, and GitHub handles that data under its own privacy statement. Reading a post never requires a GitHub account.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export the personal data a site holds about you, and to object to some processing. This site holds very little: a newsletter address if you gave one, and whatever the services above collect under their own policies.
